Indulge in a mid-week treat of fine Italian dining at La Vita bar and Vanitas and thanks to the new Serata di Sapori evening taking place every Tuesday. This flavour-packed event welcomes you with cheese nibbles paired with a glass of red in the elegant living room style bar, before heading to the main restaurant to sample authentic dishes from Italy. Take a seat on the terrace overlooking Dubai Creek and select your favourites from the curated menu of appetisers, mains and desserts that are sure to leave you feeling molto content. The La Vita package costs Dhs199 per person (from 7pm-11pm) while dinner at Vanitas costs from Dh250 to 459 per person, depending on the drinks package (from 5pm to midnight).

Take your taste buds on a journey under the sea at the Ocean Feastnight at Giardino every Wednesday, where the catch of the day is served in spades. Load up your plate withprawns, lobster, sushi, mussels, ceviche, oysters and more, garnished with some choice picks from the salad bar for extra freshness. Next, head to the live cooking stations for some sizzling scallops, and tuck into seafood with a spin at the Asian, Arabic and Indian stations, each presenting fish dishes prepared the traditional way. From 6.30pm to 10.30pm. Dhs250 per person, including soft drinks. Dhs125 for those aged below 12.

Teaming comfort food with rare beverages, an evening at Q’s Bar and Lounge is guaranteed to get your feet tapping. Sink into the plush chairs and sample the tasty fare as star resident act Rogelio Douglas Jr. takes to the stage to bring down the house. The artist has already enjoyed a three-month run of sold-out nights – his mix of Otis Redding, John Legend and Pharrell Williams combined with his trademark Mo-town and funky soul is clearly hitting the right note among guests – so don’t miss the chance to see him for yourself as his residency is extended until 19 January. Open from Tuesday to Saturday from 7pm to 2am with performances through the evening.

Situated at the heart of the lobby, the opulent Mosaico lounge lays on the quintessential high tea experience for a sophisticated way to spend an afternoon. There are three different experiences to pick from but this traditional one presents you with a selection of delicate finger sandwiches, fruit and plain scones served with homemade jam, clotted cream and lemon curd. There’s also a variety of ruch pastries to taste, alongside cups of precision bewed Damman Freres tea. Dhs300 for two people. Daily from 10:30am to 7pm.
