Get to The Pointe

Our edit of must-try flavours at Dubai’s top foodie hotspot, The Pointe, on Palm Jumeirah

Award-winnning chef Mathieu Viannay heads up this pioneering French fine dining concept that puts a 100 percent halal spin on hearty French bistro fare. Authentic ingredients are flown in from the motherland   to create standout delights including a classic pâté en croute and must-try hot French Madeleine dessert.

There’s more to Mexican cuisine than the ubiquitous taco and Palapa is on a mission to re-educate the nacho crowd with foodie delights including a zesty sea bass ceviche, achingly tender short ribs and king crab causa. We’d be fibbing if we said that tacos and nachos didn’t make an appearance, but here they’re top notch.

Go big or go home but you certainly won’t go hungry with a menu inspired by Chicago’s Union Stock Yards. A lava stone grill is the steak maker of choice while a team of in-house butchers ensure that it’s prime beef all the way. Chow down on a signature 1.2kg tomahawk steak (and sides) while taking in relaxing waterfront views.

The feta cheese at Greek restaurant Ena. Imported directly from the chef’s home city of Kalavrita, it sings with fresh, salty goodness and even makes it onto the dessert menu in the form of ice cream.
